The role of a personal assistant is varied and rewarding. Regardless of the specific tasks, you will make a valuable difference to the person you support. Working hours vary according to the client's needs, including 24-hour shifts, day and evening shifts, awake nights, and weekend work.

Important: Please mention if you have a driver's license and access to a car, as this can be crucial for some clients to ensure you can reach the workplace.

Background Checks

A background check is required by law upon employment. The type of check depends on the client you will be working with:

• Working with children: Work with children with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. An extract from the criminal record must be presented as a final step in the recruitment process before employment can become current. • Working with elderly or adults: Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. As a company, we have a policy to request an extract from the criminal record upon new employment as part of our overall suitability assessment.
