What does the role of Activity Coordinator at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?

As an Activity Coordinator, you will become a key person in our team, contributing to joy and community in line with Norlandia's concept Your Day. The concept Your Day aims to create meaning and reduce the feeling of loneliness. You are the one who ensures that the small details of everyday life become big experiences. Through conversation groups, cultural elements, meaningful activities, and social meetings, you contribute to strengthening the health and well-being of the elderly. You work closely with care staff, relatives, and external actors to create a daily life that promotes participation, quality of life, and community. The role includes, among other things:

• Creating an activity program every week.
• Working with nursing staff to develop and implement activities based on the company's concept: "Your Day".
• Leading/participating in meetings such as cafés, councils, etc.
• Creating groups for those with common interests and planning how meetings can be conducted.
• Continuing to develop contact and cooperation with voluntary organizations, preschools, sports clubs, pensioner associations, churches, etc.
• Some care work may occur during working hours.

About Kvarnbackens Care Home

Kvarnbackens Care Home is located in the Tannefors district of Linköping. The operation will be run by Norlandia Care starting October 1, 2026. It is a nursing home focused on somatic care, distributed across 42 apartments (3 of which are doubles) and three wards.

• We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, activity leader, or geriatric educator.
• Requirement of adequate education or experience suitable for the task regarding conducting activities.
• You are confident working digitally and have an interest in welfare technology and other technical solutions available in the operation to counteract loneliness.
• You have good cooperation skills and the ability to create security and engagement.
• Interest in people and social activities.
• You need to have good administrative skills.
• You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.

Other information:

Employment type: Fixed-term contract, until March 30, 2027, with a chance of possible extension.

Scope: 75%.

Start date: According to agreement.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application date.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
