Job Description
As a nurse, you work in a team together with various professions. You are responsible for and lead the team in the specific and basic care during your shift. One of our greatest strengths is communication, which ensures that work flows smoothly during the shift.
The oncology section conducts both planned and emergency operations and cares for patients in both curative and palliative stages. Oncological nursing is a central part of your work, for example, cytostatic treatment, radiotherapy, managing side effects and various complications that may occur in connection with treatment, pain management, and palliative care. We place great emphasis on a good approach characterized by respect and ethics in the team and in patient meetings. The team cares for adult patients with different cancer diagnoses, which means your work will be varied and include many different tasks. These tasks include, among other things, cytostatic handling, antibiotic administration, and transfusions, which are often given via central venous access.
Work Group
We are a cheerful work group that enjoys working together and supports each other in daily work. We use reflection after each shift to highlight the positive and negative aspects of the day. On the ward, there is a reception nurse who is a daily support for each team, as well as a coordinator who coordinates and handles much of the administrative work. Furthermore, there are four charge nurses who have extra responsibility for you as a new employee. There is an oncology on-call service available 24/7 to contact, who is also responsible for rounds during weekends. A pharmacist restocks the medication trolley, medication dispensing machine, and basic medication supply. We also have a service assistant who handles ordering and restocking of supplies. The unit also has a meal server.
About You
You are a registered nurse or a registered specialist nurse in oncology or medical care.
You thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team with the patient in focus, where all professional categories learn from each other. You have good empathy skills, able to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings.
We are looking for someone who finds it easy to work independently and cooperates well with other people. You create engagement and involvement. You also have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
Since you work in constant dialogue with inpatients, relatives, colleagues, and other operations, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also need to be able to handle various IT systems.

We offer one position with a start date of June 1st or as agreed. We conduct ongoing selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
