Welcome to apply for a completely new position as a Certified Health and Social Care Counselor in the newly established SKOPS team at the DBT clinic!
The DBT clinic is part of Specialist Psychiatry and has a county-wide mandate with a flexible age limit from 16 years. Patients are referred to us from other clinics within psychiatry. We receive patients who have serious life-threatening or quality-of-life-impairing behaviors, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD), and who have tried other adequate interventions without sufficient effect. We also have the mandate to receive patients who have serious life-threatening or quality-of-life-impairing behaviors and simultaneous autism issues. Regarding this target group, the patient is referred to SKOPS (Collaboration Complex Problem Self-harm Behavior), which is a team working to create a stable base for the patient, such as supervision for residential staff, education, coordination, and skills training. The mandate for SKOPS is threefold: one part involves education, supervision, and consultation for professionals who encounter individuals with life-threatening self-harm and cognitive impairment. Another part involves coordinating interventions to create conditions for treatment and continuity around individuals (e.g., applying for LSS, employment, support via SOL, contact with habilitation). A third part of the mandate involves individual Psychological treatment (skills training according to the adapted skills system). A patient in SKOPS can also be referred for full-scale DBT treatment when deemed appropriate. The SKOPS team is a small team consisting of three employees and organizationally belonging to the DBT clinic. SKOPS will consist of a psychologist, a counselor, and an occupational therapist, and will collaborate with DBT, which consists of psychologists, counselors, and nurses working with DBT treatment. We also regularly participate in research regarding both method and target group. At DBT, we value a good working climate and show respect for everyone we meet in our work.
Job DescriptionThe clinical work in this position as a counselor in SKOPS will mean that you are part of the SKOPS team, which also includes a psychologist and a counselor. The team will work in close collaboration with the DBT team with patients who are currently active or should be referred there. The team will also collaborate with residential staff, habilitation, and other actors to contribute to good care for the patient, including general psychiatry, inpatient care, the municipality, the employment agency, and the social insurance office. As an occupational therapist, you contribute to work with structure and aids for the target group and participate in education and other informative and coordinating interventions. The tasks include, among other things, independently investigating and assessing the need for occupational therapy for preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and habilitative purposes. Testing and training of cognitive aids. You also have the opportunity to participate in follow-up and development work at the clinic as well as research. The work is carried out individually, together with the team, and in collaborations both within and outside the Region. You will have the opportunity to work in a creative team with the development of new interventions for the target group.
QualificationsCertified Occupational Therapist with interest in the target group with autism issues and serious life-threatening or quality-of-life-impairing behaviors. Experience with DBT, skills training, or patient work with this target group is meritorious. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
