About the Position

In April 2026, the newly built Saxon Specialized Housing opened its doors. We are one of Örebro Municipality's largest residences, with space for 102 tenants distributed across ten wards focusing on cognitive impairment and somatic care.

As a nurse, you have responsibility for nursing care, which includes mentoring in nursing, health, and medical tasks. You work in a preventive care team with other professions to create good and safe care. For us, it is important to base our approach on person-centered and rehabilitative methods, with the tenants' wishes and needs in focus. As a nurse with us, you will play a key role in creating a meaningful daily life for our residents.

Here you will contribute to and participate in the continued development of an entirely new residence, which we hope you will find both developing and inspiring. Example of duties:

• decide on, carry out, and follow up nursing measures
• be responsible for mentoring and education in nursing
• instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to nursing staff
• maintain contact with and provide support to relatives
• document in various quality registers and operational systems
• participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the Workplace

Saxon Specialized Housing is located in a scenic environment between Tallrisvägen and Saxon Park in Brickebacken. Around the building is a large garden where the goal is to create a pleasant and functional outdoor environment for both tenants and employees. Several other operations will also take place here; day activity for the elderly, group housing, a restaurant, and premises for home care and home nursing.

As a nurse at Saxon Specialized Housing, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS). All nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's specialized housing work under one and the same organization so that we can create better conditions, equal care, and safeguard Örebro Municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a manager who is fundamentally licensed and thus well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being receptive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and patients, is something you see as a matter of course. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Since you are part of building a new residence, you need to be adaptable to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you are faced with.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language to a degree that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. As the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• Class B driver's license

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: Permanent position

Employment level: 100%

Start date: September 1, 2026, or by agreement

Number of positions: 1–2. The positions will be filled if necessary decisions are made.

Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend (38.25 hours/week)
