We are looking for an additional school nurse for the student health services in Kumla. If you are curious and want to be part of developing the preventive and health-promoting work for our students in Kumla Municipality's schools, you are warmly welcome to apply!

The position is located at Skogstorpsskolan F-9 within the Department of Lifelong Learning. In this department, we jointly create good conditions for pedagogical development. In Kumla, we have 8 school nurses distributed across 3 school districts.

Job Responsibilities

The mission of the student health services is to work promotively and preventively to contribute to creating learning environments that give students the prerequisites for a positive development from preschool to adult education.

Here, you will have the opportunity for close collaboration with the principal and other professionals within the student health services. We view teamwork as important for good student health. The school nurses share the same supervisor and meet regularly in the school nurse group. You receive joint supervision, support each other with your expertise, and distribute overarching tasks.

We see the medical contribution of the student health services as an important part of the preventive and health-promoting work, with the aim that our children and young people achieve the best possible goal fulfillment. The health-promoting work within the medical aspect of student health is a key part of our strive to give our children and young people a good foundation for knowledge and health.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse, with a strong interest in primarily working with children and young people.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a school nurse.

To succeed in your role and thrive with us, it is important that you are flexible, communicative, and have the ability to build good, trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

As a person, you are secure, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating. As a school nurse with us, you have an independent role and need to be good at planning and organizing your work.
