About the Position

In April 2026, the newly built Saxonss Specialized Housing opened its doors. We are one of Örebro Municipality's largest residences, with space for 102 tenants distributed across ten departments focusing on cognitive impairment and somatic care.

As a nurse, you have responsibility for nursing care, which involves mentoring in nursing, health, and medical tasks. You work preventively in a team with other professions to create good and safe care. For us, it is important to base our approach on person-centered and rehabilitative methods, focusing on the wishes and needs of our tenants. As a nurse with us, you will play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our tenants.

Here you will contribute to and participate in the continued development of an entirely new residence, which we hope you will find both developing and inspiring. Examples of duties:

• decide on, implement, and follow up on nursing measures
• be responsible for mentoring and training in nursing
• instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to nursing staff

• document in various quality registers and operational systems
• participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the Workplace

Saxonss Specialized Housing is located in a natural setting between Tallrisvägen and Saxonsparken in Brickebacken. Surrounding the building is a large garden where the goal is to create a pleasant and functional outdoor environment for both tenants and staff. Several other operations will also take place here; day activities for the elderly, group housing, a restaurant, and premises for home care and home nursing.

As a nurse at Saxonss Specialized Housing, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS). All nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's specialized housing work under the same organization so that we can create better conditions, equal care, and safeguard Örebro Municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a manager who is fundamentally licensed and thus well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-insight. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and patients, is second nature to you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Since you are involved in the construction of a new residence, you need to be adaptable to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you are faced with.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language to a degree that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. As the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• Class B driver's license

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: Permanent position

Workload: 100%

Start date: September 1, 2026, or by agreement

Number of positions: 1–2. The positions will be filled if necessary decisions are made.

Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend (38.25 hours/week)
