The Adult Psychiatry Business Area (VO) in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is located in Helsingborg. We provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health problems. The catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Scania, with which we have a good cooperation through collaboration meetings and care planning.

In 2025, we will continue our development of our eating disorder care, where we now offer care on three levels; outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care. We are actively working on our implementation work, where follow-up and evaluation are important aspects for the teams. To offer the best possible care, the eating disorder teams in outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care are integrated and work together to follow the patient, regardless of care needs and level of care. The eating disorder teams provide specialized eating disorder care across all three levels of care. Here you are given great opportunities to influence the design of the team's work and its continued development.

Responsibilities

We are now looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to our dedicated team in Helsingborg, where you as a specialist physician belong to the eating disorder team within the outpatient clinic as well as day and inpatient care. You are responsible for the patients' care, provide advice, perform diagnostics, and assess and treat patients.

Here, you will often encounter complex and exciting care processes, where you with your competence have great opportunities to make a difference for the patients. An important part of your work is collaboration with various parties and intensive work with relatives.

We work in cross-professional teams, where different competencies and experience enrich and complement each other. Here, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, nurses, assistant nurses, treatment pedagogues, as well as unit managers and medical secretaries work together. Together, we ensure that patients receive the treatment and support they need.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed physician with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are a requirement. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

At a university healthcare unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This you may have acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co-supervisors or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.

To thrive here, you need to like structure, take personal responsibility, but at the same time be a natural collaborator. As a person, you are empathetic and clear in your communication to both patients and relatives. You are driven and are happy to contribute to development work.
