We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant. You must be able to speak and understand Swedish well, as many assignments require you to interpret for the person you work for.
Currently, we have everything from hourly positions, evening and weekend part-time jobs, to larger positions of 30–80% that run as long as the assistance assignment lasts. We rarely have positions that involve only daytime work on weekdays.
Our recruitment department will select from incoming applications and match suitable candidates with one of the assistance-eligible individuals in GIL who are currently looking for staff.
Working as a personal assistant can often be different from other jobs. How it turns out depends on who you work for and who you are. You choose each other and build a relationship that feels good for both parties. For many, previous work experience and formal education are of little importance; it is usually about personal chemistry.
The tasks of a personal assistant depend on who you work for. Some need a lot of help with their physical body, others with their mind. Some party hard, others travel far or have many children. Some study, others work. Some spend a lot of time at the stable, others prefer hockey. Some enjoy painting, others love princess cakes. Some are quiet, others are talkative.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. For us, personal assistance is about creating conditions for a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. In many assignments, the assistance-eligible person is the employer themselves, while others have appointed a deputy employer. Assignments and roles vary depending on the operation and function.
GIL's office provides support in areas such as employer services, administration, finance, HR, and training. Together, we contribute to making everyday life work for both assistance-eligible individuals and employees within the cooperative.
To attract and retain secure and engaged employees, GIL invests in training and joint activities.
• GIL's assistants are covered by a collective agreement with Fremia–Kommunal
• Wellness allowance up to 2,500 SEK/year
• Individual salary setting
• Extract from the police record must be shown upon employment
