Welcome to a committed team at Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) within Skaraborg Hospital. As one of our social workers is retiring in January, we are in need of a social worker who wants to be part of the team working for BUP Skaraborg as a whole.

The Operations

BUP Skaraborg is responsible for specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents, including our outpatient clinics in Mariestad and Skövde, as well as BUP emergency responsibility. We meet children and adolescents aged 0–18 and their families.

Here, a multidisciplinary team consisting of administrative staff, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, and assistant nurses works with a focus on providing our patients with the best possible care. We have an open climate, high competence, and a strong focus on both patient and employee well-being.

Job Responsibilities

The social worker role at BUP includes assessment interviews, counseling, and treatment interventions, as well as collaboration with external actors such as social services and schools. The role may also include work within the habilitation mandate or coordinating functions based on operational needs.

We often meet society's most vulnerable children and adolescents, which places high demands on flexibility, independence, and teamwork. The work is carried out in multidisciplinary teams with a focus on quality and patient safety.

The position offers good opportunities for adaptation of content and direction based on the applicant's competence, experience, and areas of interest.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree in Social Work. Experience within social services, the Disability Act (LSS), and/or school health services is desirable, as is experience working with children and adolescents. Education in CBT Step 1 is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

As the work sometimes takes place outside the clinic, a Category B driver's license is desirable.

In appointments within psychiatry, we request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records register. This request is handled by the employer.
