Do you want to make a difference for people with disabilities and support them in their daily lives? We are now looking for engaged summer substitutes for Skärviken and Skärudden BmSS, located on the beautiful island of Styrsö in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg!

To reach the facilities on Styrsö, you need to take the ferry from Saltholmen.

As a temporary hourly worker with us at the Staffing Unit, you will become an important part of the tenants' daily lives. You will assist with both practical and pedagogical tasks, ranging from personal care to leisure activities and social support. We provide individualized support for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.

We require that you are available for hourly shifts between weeks 25–34.

About you

You must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position, in accordance with regulations regarding the working environment for minors (AFS 2023:2).

To be able to maintain documentation, you must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test through the testing provider Educateit.

Education in care and nursing, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or experience working with people with disabilities and/or in care and nursing, is meritorious.

Experience working with the target group of autism and challenging behavior is meritorious. Knowledge of LAB (Low-Affective Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, MI (Motivational Interviewing), and experience with social documentation are also advantageous.

We would appreciate it if you, as a summer substitute, could work hourly shifts before your summer placement begins. In hourly positions, you work as needed and log your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night depending on the facility.
