SiS Youth Home Fagared receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse issues. We have departments in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg.

Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting job as a part-time treatment assistant at SiS Youth Home Fagared!

The goal of the role as a part-time treatment assistant at Fagared is to motivate our young people towards new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you ensure that routines on the ward function as intended. You play a major role in providing stability and security for our young people, handling the basics of daily life such as school attendance, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety on the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good therapeutic relationships and help ensure our young people receive the security and safety they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to positive change.

Working hours are according to schedule: day-evening and weekends, or nights, weekdays and weekends.

As a part-time employee at SiS, you will undergo an adapted introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing change. Therefore, you must have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, strong empathetic abilities, and the capacity to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You must also have:

• A completed and approved upper secondary education (high school diploma)
• At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or other equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., within psychiatry, residential care (HVB), or healthcare and social services.
• Valid B driving license

Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

*Exceptions to the requirement of at least a two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

Employment:

The position is a part-time employment, start date by agreement.
