Umeå Municipality and the Social Services are facing a significant challenge in the coming years due to a growing population that will require support and assistance to manage their daily lives. A key part of securing the necessary competence is digitalization. Within the Social Services' system administration, we play a central role as we manage and develop the business-oriented systems used by the Social Services (Support and Care and Elderly Care), including Treserva, Intraphone, LifeCare SP, Phoniro, and Sensio.
The Social Services' system administration works according to the PM-3 governance model, where an IT-focused part and a business-oriented part collaborate. We belong to the business-oriented part, which currently consists of one object manager and 11 system administrators/object specialists.
The object's mission is to deliver object management, user support, change management, and daily IT operations and maintenance for all IT components included in the object. Our customers are all operations within the Social Services. In addition to maintenance, the object is also responsible for the further development of IT components, ranging from version upgrades to contract follow-up.
We are now looking for a temporary System Administrator!
Your responsibilities
In the role of temporary System Administrator, you work operationally with IT support and welfare technology used in the Social Services' operations. You are a key person in the administration organization and serve as the central contact point for staff who use the systems in their daily work. The main focus of the role is to provide support to end-users – ensuring that the systems work in practice and that users receive the help they need.
This means you will primarily work with:
Providing user support and guidance – answering questions, solving problems, and guiding staff in system usage.
Performing system administration and access management – handling user accounts and permissions.
Logging and other administrative tasks – such as creating and revising procedures and manuals.
Investigating and following up on cases – analyzing and correcting errors, and ensuring that solutions work.
About you
We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker, system scientist, behavioral scientist, or hold HSL (Health and Social Care) certification, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have work experience within the areas of social services, e.g., authority operations, service providers, or healthcare. You also have experience as a user of process support (Treserva), planning tools (Intraphone), or welfare technology and e-services.
It is meritorious if you have work experience as a super user, system guide, or similar, as well as experience working in case management systems.
You plan and carry out activities with great precision. You work in a structured manner and possess strong pedagogical and communication skills, which you can adapt to varying conditions and needs from the parties involved. You can illuminate issues from different perspectives and are solution-oriented.
In the role, you have many contacts, both externally and internally. It is therefore important that you are attentive and capable of handling varying needs and conditions. We strive for an organization characterized by equality and diversity in all respects. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other information
The position is a temporary full-time role, starting as soon as possible according to agreement, for up to one year.
