We are looking for experienced engineers who want to work at the forefront of technology with one of our clients in the defense and industrial sectors in northern Sweden. You will play a key role in the development of complex systems where electrical, electronic, and software engineering converge – from requirements definition and architecture to integration and testing.

Your responsibilities and challenges:

• Ownership of systems or subsystems across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software domains.
• Responsible for requirements management, architecture design, and integration.
• Model systems using SysML/UML in modern tools.
• Participate in verification, testing, and system integration.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a designer in electrical, mechanical, or electronic fields within production or product development industries.
• Good knowledge of CAD and PDM systems.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink (System Composer) and/or Python.
• Strong communication skills, enjoys sharing knowledge, and has experience working independently.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.

Plus points:

• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS Next Generation (DNG), JIRA/Confluence, or similar.
• Knowledge of SAP or ARAS.
• Experience working in the military or heavy vehicle industry is a plus.
• Experience working in DevOps.

You will be part of the ALTEN team in Umeå, but your workplace will be with the client in Umeå or Örnsköldsvik.
