Kretslopp Sydost is a municipal association based in Kalmar, responsible for the collection and handling of household waste for approximately 190,000 residents across eight member municipalities: Kalmar, Mörbylånga, Nybro, Oskarshamn, Sävsjö, Torsås, Uppvidinge, and Vetlanda. We are a team of approximately 100 employees working together to create sustainable and efficient waste management for the residents of our member municipalities.
The Collection Department operates from three locations: Kalmar (Moskogen waste facility), Vetlanda (Flishult waste facility), and Oskarshamn (Storskogen waste facility).
To meet future demands and ensure efficient operations, we are now looking for an engaged and structured Team Leader for our newly built facility in Flishult.

As the Team Leader for Collection, you are the hub of daily operations. You are responsible for ensuring smooth operations – from planning and scheduling to ensuring that drivers have the right conditions to do a good job. You work closely with your staff, solve problems in real-time, and ensure that collections and transports are carried out safely, efficiently, and on time.
You will have approximately 16 employees under your supervision and report to the Department Manager.
Your main responsibilities
- Personnel responsibility for drivers within the collection operations, including employee meetings, scheduling, and rehabilitation work
- Drive improvement work regarding efficiency, safety, and working environment
- Plan and coordinate daily logistics and driving routes
- Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with current laws, regulations, and the municipal association's guidelines
- Handle deviations, disruptions, and acute situations in operations
- Monitor and report key figures for the collection operations
- Collaborate with other departments and external actors
We are looking for someone who has
- Experience in team leadership or similar managerial role, preferably within transport, logistics, or cleaning services
- Good ability to plan and prioritize in a high-paced environment
- Natural leadership skills – you create trust, clarity, and well-being in the group
- Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
- Experience with digital systems such as planning tools or transport management systems
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written
- Category B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience from the transport, waste, or recycling industry
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety and transport legislation
- Category C driver's license or experience as a professional driver
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: To be agreed.
Working hours: Daytime.
