Renewable raw materials from our members' forests are turned into timber at our sawmill in Långasjö. We are in an exciting phase of development where we are building tomorrow's sustainable industry together – with safety, smart working methods, and engagement as our focus.
Do you want to influence how we develop modern, sustainable, and efficient maintenance work? We are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer for Södra Wood in Långasjö – a role where you have the opportunity to make a real difference in a constantly evolving operation.

What you will work on at SödraAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will become an important part of the work to develop, simplify, and improve our maintenance operations. Your focus is on creating structures that make a difference in everyday life – for both safety, operations, and long-term sustainability.
You will, among other things:
- Develop and implement working methods, routines, and standards within maintenance
- Drive and follow up on preventive maintenance and technical improvement measures
- Conduct root cause analyses during disruptions and contribute with long-term solutions
- Identify improvements that strengthen operational reliability and reduce costs
- Participate in and lead smaller projects and contribute to larger investment and development initiatives
- Help develop more digital and data-driven working methods within maintenance
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and external partners to find the best solutions together

The position is a permanent full-time role, based in Långasjö.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for you who have technical competence in mechanics, machinery, or maintenance – preferably from industrial operations. You have a post-secondary education, for example as a university engineer, or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable.
However, the most important thing is not exactly where you come from, but where you want to go – and that you have the desire to develop together with us.
We believe you are a person who:
- Enjoys combining analysis and practical improvement work
- Has a structured and responsible working style
- Is curious and likes to understand how things work in depth
- Has an inclusive and collaborative way of working
- Sees the value in safety and actively contributes to a secure working environment
- Communicates clearly and adapts to different people and situations
You also have:
- Good computer skills and very good knowledge of the Office suite
- Good Swedish and English in speech and writing
- A valid driver's license (Category B)
Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in continuous improvement/LEAN
- LCP training
- Experience in project work or technical development projects
