Seeking two nurses for a rotational position in surgery in Gävleborg

The surgical department covers the entire county with clinics and wards in Hudiksvall and Gävle. We provide both emergency and planned care within our specialties: urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, breast surgery, and endocrine surgery. Working with us gives you broad experience in the nursing profession with opportunities to develop within the field of surgery. We are now looking for two nurses for a rotational position between the surgical clinic and one of our three surgical wards. The position involves working 50 percent at the clinic and 50 percent on the ward.

Job Description

As a nurse with us, you are offered a varied and developing job within one of healthcare's most exciting fields, where you meet both emergency and planned patients. The role involves rotation between the clinic and the ward. At the clinic, you work daytime hours, Monday to Friday, while work on the ward includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

As a nurse at the surgical clinic, you will work with among other things:

• Telephone advice
• Clinic work together with doctors
• Handling referrals and booking appointments for planned clinics
• Independent clinic consultations

As a nurse on the surgical ward, you will work with among other things:

• Nursing care in shared rooms
• Medication management
• Rounds with doctors

Qualifications

To fit the position, we are looking for someone who has good cooperation skills, is flexible, and can plan and structure their work well. We appreciate that you are driven and ambitious.

As a nurse with us, you must:

• Be a licensed nurse
• Have worked as a nurse for at least one year

For this position, experience in surgical care is meritorious.
