Coordinator for Implementing FaR in Adult Psychiatry

The Adult Psychiatry service area offers specialist psychiatric interventions and treatments for various psychiatric conditions, such as affective disorders, psychotic illnesses, personality disorders, anxiety conditions, and ADHD. Region Gävleborg has received state grants for several years to strengthen the work with written prescriptions for physical activity (FaR). This year, a focus is being placed on implementing the FaR method within adult psychiatry in the county. We are now seeking a coordinator to lead this work.

Responsibilities

As a coordinator, you are responsible for the implementation process of FaR in selected units within adult psychiatry. You will belong to the Strategy, Financing, and Public Health department but work within Adult Psychiatry, where you will collaborate closely with, among others, rehabilitation physicians and the unit for patient safety and quality. Since the work is county-wide, business travel is involved.

As a coordinator, you will primarily work with:

• Driving the implementation of the FaR method in selected units within the Adult Psychiatry service area, where you will have a coaching and supportive role.
• Training and competence development in the FaR method for staff within the Adult Psychiatry service area.
• Collaborating with internal and external actors to create good conditions for adherence to the FaR method, both for staff and patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible and engaged person who thrives in close collaboration with all professions in a varied daily routine. You are interested in development and improvement work, are confident in your professional role, and are good at building networks. You are creative, meticulous, and able to independently organize and plan work in an efficient manner.

In the role of coordinator, you must be a licensed physiotherapist or nurse with experience in prescribing physical activity (FaR).

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.

Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months, start date: 2026-09-01 to 2026-12-31.
