RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a dedicated physiotherapist passionate about helping people regain their mobility and quality of life? Do you want to be part of a competent and passionate healthcare team where you can develop and make a real difference for your patients? How exciting! Together, we work towards a holistic view of the patient and promote health in Gävle.
Gävle Municipality has consolidated all licensed personnel into one department, the Health and Medical Care Office. We are now looking for a substitute physiotherapist while our regular colleague is on parental leave.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing patients' functional capacity and need for physiotherapeutic interventions
- Planning, implementing, and following up on individually adapted physiotherapeutic treatments
- Working with preventive, rehabilitative, habilitative, and compensatory measures
- Performing physiotherapeutic interventions within home healthcare as well as in care and nursing homes
- Mentoring, instructing, and educating care and healthcare staff in transfer, exercise, and working methods
- Contributing physiotherapeutic expertise to care planning and team meetings
- Collaborating in interdisciplinary teams regarding care recipients, together with, for example, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare staff

The positions are scheduled during daytime hours. The position is a temporary substitute role from September 1 to May 31, 2027.

- Licensed physiotherapist
- Valid driver's license and driving experience
To succeed in the role, you are:
- Structured, with the ability to plan, organize, and independently structure your work
- A team player with good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to turn guidelines and decisions into action
- Working from a holistic view of the patient with genuine empathy and respect
- Creating trust and confidence through understanding patients' different life situations

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement, end date: 2027-05-31.
Working hours: Daytime.
