NU Healthcare is part of the Region of Västra Götaland and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forest, and lakes.

Rheumatology Clinic, Uddevalla Hospital

Currently, five specialists and four ST-doctors work at the rheumatology clinic. The unit's team includes, in addition to doctors and nurses. We have good cooperation with counselors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We work together to continuously improve care and are currently in a strong development phase.

Our clinic has, in addition to the doctor's office, an infusion unit and a nurse's office.

We use ultrasound in our daily work. All types of rheumatological care are provided at the unit, except for the most highly specialized regional care which takes place at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg. We also have a consultation function for primary care and other operations within NU Healthcare regarding rheumatological issues.

The cooperation with other rheumatology clinics in the Region of Västra Götaland works well, and we have an educational exchange with the rheumatology clinic at Sahlgrenska Hospital. The Region of Västra Götaland has a special study director for further education in rheumatology. Further education is arranged such as specialist physician days and evening courses by the West Swedish Rheumatology Society.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of a medical group that jointly staffs the rheumatology functions. You will work in a team with other professional categories and in close cooperation with other specialists, e.g., orthopedists. We offer:

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified specialist doctor in rheumatology, preferably with a few years of experience as a specialist. We place great emphasis on personal suitability where handling and ability to cooperate are in focus. You enjoy helping others, have an empathetic approach, and can work independently with the patient in the center.

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and have personal maturity, which makes you confident in your professional role.

You have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team. To succeed in this role, we see that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
