Are you the one who makes it possible to stay at home? We are now looking for care assistants for the home care service in Torslanda. Working within the elderly care sector gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy of life and well-being. The goal is for care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good nursing care and social support. Your working hours are scheduled during daytime and every other weekend. In Torslanda, we value collaboration and we work based on the national value base.

Working in home care means that you support and help the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You travel to the individual's home on foot, by e-bike, or by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more.

You also perform health and medical tasks after instruction and delegation from licensed personnel. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems employed by the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training in them.

As a care assistant and helper in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

About you

Qualifications

• Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Comfortable using an e-bike as a work vehicle.
• Category B driver's license and driving experience.

Meritorious, but not a requirement

• Trained care assistant.
• Experience from care and support work.
• Experience working with mental health issues.

You convey information and ideas clearly and ensure that your message gets through.

To ensure high quality in our care and support, we would like you, if you do not have care education, to have the necessary prerequisites so that you can further educate yourself as a care assistant or assistant nurse through adult education. We think long-term and want you as an employee to grow and develop, so we would like you to be motivated to continue studying within care and support in the long run. We will prioritize candidates who have the required prerequisites.
