NU Hospital Care is part of the Region of Västra Götaland and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forest, and lakes.
Description
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at NU Hospital Care currently has approximately 150 full-time equivalent employees. These consist of treatment assistants, leisure-time educators, doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, team secretaries, dietitians, special educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.
Currently, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic (BUP) is undergoing a major development and organizational project to develop the operations in relation to patients and care partners. This involves accessibility, current guidelines and care programs, and how we should organize the BUP clinic to meet expectations as they stand today. We need to challenge our habitual patterns and discover new opportunities while preserving the experience that exists and what we know works. As an employee, you have the opportunity to influence what the future BUP will look like.
BUP WEST has its main center at Uddevalla Hospital, as well as service points in Lysekil and Strömstad. We strive for a good work environment where our employees can feel joy in work, security, and support in their daily lives. Together, we care for each other's health and well-being, have a high ceiling, and are close to laughter. To thrive with us, you should enjoy working in a team as well as being comfortable working independently.
Job Description
As a psychologist, you work with child psychiatric assessments, investigations, and treatments. To support assessments and investigations, there are jointly developed templates, support documents, and guidelines. Treatment can be given individually to children/adolescents, in families, or in groups. We work based on different methods depending on the nature of the case and what is deemed most appropriate in the individual case, based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's and our regional medical guidelines (RMR).
The work also includes collaboration with schools, social services, habilitation, child medicine, and other agencies surrounding children and families.
The work takes place in close collaboration with other staff, team leaders, and managers. Qualified supervision is available within the clinic regarding treatment and investigation work. The clinic has a Psychologically Responsible Leader (PLA) who is part of the management group. The psychologists at the clinic have recurring meetings to raise profession-wide issues, and a cross-professional reflection forum recurs during the term.
Qualifications
Licensed psychologist according to Swedish regulations. A PTP (Probationary Training Position) service is not relevant for this position. We assume that you have an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry, that you are structured, clear, orderly, and flexible, and that you have a desire to work and be part of a team.
We value qualities such as good social competence, where humor, forward-thinking, and positive thinking are clear merits. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability and qualities such as good cooperation skills and the ability to work independently.
Other
When appointing a position within psychiatry, we always request extracts from the suspicion and criminal record registry. This request is handled by the employer.
Interviews will take place continuously throughout the application period.
Welcome with your application!
