Stockholm – our capital city full of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Welcome to Beckombergaskolan. We are a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 500 students. The school is located on the outskirts of Bromma, featuring a green and beautiful schoolyard and fresh facilities. We are organized into work teams where each grade level forms its own team, but we collaborate extensively and strive for a strong sense of community both in school and at the after-school center.
On the schoolyard, there is a shed where students can borrow balls, jump ropes, and other equipment to encourage physical activity during breaks. We have our own kitchen and usually serve three different meals per day, along with a large and varied salad bar.
Your role
As a childcare assistant (barnskötare) with us, you play a vital role in the daily work with teaching, both in school and at the after-school center. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a safe, positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for all our students, both individually and in groups. You work from a full-day perspective where school, break activities, and after-school care are equally important for students to achieve their goals. You support individual students and entire student groups during teacher-led instruction, and you plan and carry out activities at the after-school center in collaboration with the school's teachers.
You work in accordance with the curriculum, established goals, policies, and guidelines.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A childcare education or another pedagogical education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Experience working in primary schools and at after-school centers.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Experience working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and self-reliant. You have a clear focus on children and a genuine interest in contributing to their development and learning. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards their work and their team. You are clear in your communication and can adapt to the recipient. You have good collaboration skills and interact in a responsive and professional manner with children, colleagues, and guardians.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, motivation, and commitment to the position.
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment to ensure that each person's competence is seen objectively, thereby combating discrimination.
To work in our schools, you must provide a valid extract from the police's criminal record register and suspicion register before an employment offer is made.
Within the Department of Education, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Regulations (AB).
