We are now looking for a residential support worker for our team at Hasselvägen. We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a difference! The position is part-time.

About Hasselvägen Hasselvägen is a group home under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) aimed at individuals with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disability. We work individually based on Nytida's framework for pedagogy, which is built on low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The group home is located with nature just around the corner in a quiet villa area on the outskirts of Nygård, just over half a mile outside Lödöse. In the community, there is a small shopping center with a grocery store, pizzeria, and hairdresser. You can follow matches on the nearby football field during the season. Buses run to Lödöse, from where you can take the train to Gothenburg and Trollhättan.

Our employees have experience and knowledge to work with the target group. They have relevant education within social care, such as nursing programs, vocational education in social care, or social work degrees.

About the role As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their skills and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, evening, and weekends.

You have a group leader nearby who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You who apply have upper secondary education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have a driver's license, good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and always have our users' best interests as your starting point in everything you do.
