The Business Area (VO) Imaging and Function at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) covers the specialist areas of medical radiology, neuroradiology, clinical physiology and nuclear medicine, as well as clinical neurophysiology. Alongside our clinical operations, we conduct extensive educational and research activities. The Section of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine is now seeking a Specialist Physician in Clinical Physiology or alternatively Cardiology.

Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine performs advanced diagnostics with high medical quality and close collaboration with other specialties. The operations include, among other things, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, cardiac MRI, exercise and lung physiology including ergospirometry, arrhythmia diagnostics, as well as nuclear medicine including PET. We have operations in both Lund and Malmö, but our large ultrasound department is located in Malmö.

Work with us is characterized by high medical quality, a good educational climate, and a strong focus on research and development. Physicians work closely with biomedical analysts, nurses, nursing assistants, physicists, and technical staff.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a specialist physician in clinical physiology or cardiology with knowledge of echocardiography. The role involves working primarily with echocardiography, as well as other cardiac diagnostics such as long-term ECG and exercise tests.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed physician with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare.
• Have specialist competence in clinical physiology or cardiology.
• Have good knowledge and practical experience of echocardiography.
• Have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

Additionally, you have an interest in research and quality development, as well as good skills in English, both spoken and written.

You have good communication and collaboration skills, and are receptive, humble, and value respectful treatment. You are responsible and always keep the patient in focus. We appreciate that you share your experiences and contribute to learning by supervising various professional categories and students. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training, and as co- or main supervisor for doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, as well as experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.
