Do you want to contribute to a more efficient public administration?
We are now looking for a Unit Manager for our Economic Consulting Services unit in Sundbyberg. The unit is part of the Department of Economics and Consulting Services, which operates in Gävle, Sundbyberg, and Östersund. The department is responsible for all service deliveries to government agencies within e-commerce, accounting, and consulting services within economics and HR. You will report to the Department Manager and be part of the department's management group.
Your Responsibilities
As Unit Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Delivering accounting and consulting services within the public sector
- Having personnel and economic responsibility (the unit consists of approx. 10 employees)
- Leading and developing the operations within the unit
- Creating efficiency and value in deliveries for our client agencies
- Having knowledge of the state's economic administrative regulations as well as the public sector values
- Being part of the department's management group and thereby contributing to the overall mission of the department
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant academic degree in economics or equivalent education assessed by the employer as equivalent
- At least three years of experience as a manager with personnel responsibility
- Experience driving change initiatives
- Experience in process management
- Experience working with accounting within government operations
You should possess the following skills:
- Strong leadership skills: Clear, motivating, creating engagement and involvement
- Systematic: Follows established methods, processes, and quality-assures your work
- Structured: Plans, organizes, and prioritizes activities efficiently
- Communicative: Expresses yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
- Development-oriented: Takes initiative for improvements and drives change forward
- Good collaboration skills: Works without hierarchy with others and actively contributes to solving common tasks
Merits
Additionally, it is meritorious if you have:
- Participated in management group work
- Been a Finance Manager or Accounting Manager
- Experience from consulting activities in the role of consulting manager or other commercial consulting role
Other Information
The position is full-time (100%) and permanent. We usually apply a six-month probationary period. Appointment is made according to agreement. The position is located in Sundbyberg.
This employment requires Swedish citizenship and a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act. As an employee, you may also be assigned to wartime duties based on the total defense's needs.
