Do you want to become an important part of a family's daily life and contribute with security, care, and structure? We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated nanny who wishes to work long-term with a family residing near St Eriksplan in Stockholm.

The family consists of two working parents and their son, who turns 1 in July. He is a happy, charming, and active little boy with a lot of personality who enjoys closeness, play, and exploration. The family is looking for a warm and secure person who can become a natural part of their daily life for many years to come.

About the Position

The position covers between 80–100% and starts no later than October 5, 2026, but the family is also open to an earlier start from August for the right person.

The working hours are mainly scheduled on weekdays between approximately 09:00–17:00/18:00, with some flexibility if needed. The family offers a guaranteed workload of at least 80% as well as a fixed monthly salary.

The boy will start preschool either around the turn of the year or next summer. Therefore, the focus during the initial period will be on care and activities with the child at home and outdoors. When preschool begins, the role will gradually adapt to pick-up, drop-off, and support in the family's daily routine.

Responsibilities

Childcare

• Responsible for the child's daily care and safety
• Plan and conduct stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors
• Assist with routines regarding meals, rest, and development
• Eventually, drop-off and pick-up from preschool

Cooking

• Prepare and cook the family's dinners
• Plan simple, nutritious, and appreciated meals
• Maintain order in the kitchen after cooking

Household Services

• Light everyday household chores such as:
• Tidying up and organizing
• Laundry and folding clothes
• Dishes and kitchen tidiness
• Simple shopping when needed

The family has separate cleaning help, so the role does not include major cleaning tasks.

Travel

The family travels occasionally and would appreciate it if you had the opportunity to join them on a trip once a year. However, this is not an absolute requirement and can be discussed individually.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for a mature, secure, and responsible person who thrives in a family-oriented role. You have a genuine interest in children's development and appreciate creating structure, warmth, and calm around you.

We believe you:

• Have extensive experience in childcare, preferably from work as a nanny, au pair, childcare worker, or within preschool
• Have experience with children aged 1–3
• Are warm, responsive, and present in interactions with children
• Are self-motivated and see what needs to be done
• Are flexible and solution-oriented
• Enjoy working long-term with the same family
• Speak Swedish fluently
• Have good references

Employment Terms

• Scope: 80–100%
• Start: No later than October 5 (preferably earlier from August)
• Working hours: Weekdays approx. 09:00–17:00/18:00
• Location: St. Eriksplan, Stockholm
• Fixed monthly salary
• Salary equivalent to approx. 32,000–35,000 SEK/month full-time, depending on experience and qualifications
• The family plans to be the direct employer; Nordic Light Nannies recruits only for the position.

Salaries are determined individually based on experience and education and are comparable to preschool teacher salaries in Stockholm. Minimum wage 150 SEK/hour. We can offer higher wages up to 210 SEK/hour for nannies with extensive experience and/or pedagogical education. Fixed monthly salaries occur within certain positions.

• At least three years of experience in professional work with children (certificate/documentation and references required) or equivalent competence?
• An interest in working with children and their development?
• Pedagogical education such as preschool teacher, childcare worker, teacher, leisure-time pedagogue, drama pedagogue, etc., is an advantage, as is a driver's license!
