We work closely with foster families, social services, and placed children with the goal of creating long-term and sustainable placements.

We are now looking for a Foster Home Consultant on an hourly basis in Uppsala Municipality who wants to complement our team and contribute to our important mission.

About the role

As a Foster Home Consultant, you work closely with our foster families and serve as a vital support for both the families and the placed children. This role is ideal for you if you are looking for a flexible part-time job and want to use your skills to create safety and good conditions for children and young people.

The work involves great freedom under responsibility, and you plan your work to a large extent yourself. You work remotely from home.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Guide and support foster families through regular visits and continuous contact.
• Act as a contact person/consultant for a number of foster families and ensure they receive the support needed for their assignments.
• Participate in initiation meetings, follow-up meetings, network meetings, and SIP (Social Investigation Plan) meetings together with social services and foster families.
• Write monthly reports, documentation, and implementation plans.
• Monitor placements and contribute to ensuring high quality in our interventions.
• Be available for advice and support when needed.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in Social Work (Social Work degree).
• Has experience working with children and young people within social work.
• It is an advantage if you have worked as a foster home consultant, social secretary, foster home investigator, or in other operations concerning placed children and young people.
• Has good knowledge of social services' work, legislation, and guidelines.
• Is secure, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Has good collaboration skills and is accustomed to meeting different people and professions.
• Has very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Has a B-driver's license and access to a car.
