The Department of Intensive and Perioperative Care (VO IPV) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Lund offers anesthesiology care, surgical care, postoperative care, and intensive care. Here, patients are cared for before, during, and after their operations. The Surgical Unit performs primarily highly specialized surgery in the following areas: upper gastrointestinal surgery, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder surgery, endocrine surgery, and emergency surgery. Emergency operations occur at all hours of the day and night.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming an Operating Room Nurse to the Surgical Unit.

At our unit, we perform both elective and emergency surgery, and our operations are organized into different specialized teams: Endocrine/Sarcoma, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), Upper Gastrointestinal, and Emergency/Trauma. In the role of an Operating Room Nurse in our team, you are a central part of our strive to offer patients the best possible care. We offer you an individually adapted introduction based on your previous experience and competence. You will also have the opportunity to work according to a business-adapted preference schedule with quota time, where working hours can be scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts.

Here, you will also receive two training days in medical technology and four development days every year. We are proud to offer a work environment with a great atmosphere and an open working climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing and eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
