About the Role
We are looking for an engaged and structured SDE (Supplier Development Engineer) who wants to work in a business-close and international environment with a strong focus on supplier quality and continuous improvement. In this role, you will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with internal functions such as quality, technology, production, and logistics.
You will also collaborate extensively with external suppliers and play a key role in ensuring that our suppliers meet requirements regarding quality, processes, and technical specifications. The role involves travel related to supplier visits and audits.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluate and approve new potential suppliers
- Plan and conduct supplier visits and supplier audits
- Evaluate, develop, and follow up on existing suppliers, including supplier audits
- Drive and follow up on supplier development regarding product and process up to PPAP approval
- Ensure that suppliers have a correct understanding of drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure that suppliers use the Gnutti Supplier Portal according to current requirements
- Ensure alignment on measurement methods and results between the supplier and the organization
- Actively support the handling of customer complaints and problem-solving
- Support the Supplier Quality Manager in the implementation of supplier agreements
- Support and collaborate with SQE and SQM according to established escalation rules
- Participate in VAVE initiatives and programs for material cost reduction
- Prepare and compile monthly reports
- Act in accordance with the Gnutti Group Code of Conduct
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a technical education, for example, from a technical high school or equivalent experience. Experience working with supplier quality in the manufacturing industry is highly meritorious.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, MSA, APQP, SPC, PPAP, and risk-based working methods
- Good knowledge of materials and components such as cast iron, steel, aluminum, and related casting and forging processes
- Good knowledge of problem-solving methodology, such as Ishikawa, 5 Why, and HERCA
- Proficient in using SAP
- Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- VDA 6.3 auditor training
- VDA 6.3 certification (mandatory when working with customers such as Bosch, Daimler, MAN, Scania, VW, and Audi)
- IATF 16949 2nd party auditor training
- Experience with massive heat treatments and surface treatments such as plating and coating
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (formerly ISO 18001) or equivalent standards

Employment Type
The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed.
