Systems Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer for a consultancy assignment with our client, who operates in advanced technology development within a safety-critical environment. You will play a central role in ensuring that systems are developed in a structured and efficient manner throughout the entire lifecycle – from requirements definition and technical solution to verification and delivery.

As a Systems Engineer, you will become part of a technically advanced organization where you will work closely with project management, specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure that the right solutions are developed and that technical requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions based on stakeholder requirements for systems and subsystems
• Plan and execute systems engineering work throughout the development cycle
• Coordinate and integrate contributions from various technical areas and specialist functions
• Work closely with project management and support project managers and Systems Engineering Leaders in planning and execution
• Ensure that established systems engineering processes are followed
• Identify, analyze, and manage technical risks and dependencies
• Consult subject matter experts for analyses and technical investigations
• Report deviations and technical issues to the Design Authority
• Produce, review, and approve technical documentation for the current system or subsystem
• Contribute to ensuring that the solution meets functional, technical, and business requirements

Your Profile

You are an experienced Systems Engineer who thrives in complex technical environments where collaboration, structure, and quality are crucial for success. You have the ability to see the big picture while also being able to dive into technical details when the situation demands it.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and communicative. You collaborate easily with different competency areas and are accustomed to driving technical issues forward in cross-functional teams. You work independently, take responsibility for your deliverables, and have a natural focus on quality and results.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience with systems engineering work in complex technical environments
• Experience working according to established systems engineering processes
• Good understanding of system and subsystem development
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration between different technical disciplines
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and follow up on technical development efforts
• Experience with technical documentation and requirements management
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from the defense industry or other safety-critical operations
• Experience working with complex system environments and product development
• Experience working close to a Design Authority or similar function
• Knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and physics related to technical systems
• Experience with risk management and technical analyses
• Experience with system verification and validation

Scope and Conditions

Location: Arboga.

Hybrid model, on-site at least three days per week.

The assignment takes place in a safety-critical operation where a security clearance may be required before the assignment starts.
