Friday is now recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager for a globally leading industrial company in Västerås. Here you will have the chance to combine your technical interest with structure, coordination, and leadership in an environment where production, machinery, and improvement work are at the center.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Västerås, specializing in large electrical machines such as motors and generators.

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with production and drive projects that make a tangible difference in daily operations. Initially, the projects will primarily focus on machinery acquisition, production equipment, and improvements to the production environment. You will receive support from experienced colleagues, but also take personal responsibility for maintaining structure, progress, and coordination.

This is a role for you who may not yet have held the title of Project Manager, but who has already shown that you can create order, drive things forward, and bring others along with you. Perhaps you have led a group project, taken responsibility in a thesis, coordinated activities in student organizations, been a team captain, a foreman during a summer job, or simply been the one who naturally took charge when something needed to be done.

Main Responsibilities:

• Understand production needs and translate them into concrete projects
• Drive projects related to machinery, equipment, and production improvements
• Coordinate installation, procurement, and handover to production
• Maintain contact with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal functions
• Create structure around schedules, milestones, budgets, and follow-ups

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Hold a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Economics with a production focus, Production Technology, or similar
• Have practical experience from industry, production, or a technical environment through summer jobs, internships, thesis projects, or project work
