Job Description

We are looking for a driven and independent Shift Leader/Production Supervisor for our production facility in Västerås. The role involves significant personal responsibility with a focus on autonomy, where you are expected to act proactively and make independent decisions in your daily work. You will be a central link in the operations, working in close dialogue with the production planner, maintenance manager, and production manager.

The operations are characterized by a high tempo and rapid, constant changes. This is a role for you who are motivated by short decision-making paths and who can maintain a stable calm while juggling many balls in the air simultaneously.

About the Role

Carbomax consists of approximately 40 employees in total. At the facility in Västerås, we work in a flat hierarchy, help each other where needed, and face a daily routine filled with challenges.

Your main responsibilities include leading daily operations and distributing work, but you also have clear administrative and strategic accountability. The role includes:

• Leading and coordinating production staff with the support of shift leaders.
• Ensuring efficiency and quality in the production process.
• Responsible for working environment and safety rounds, ensuring all environmental aspects are followed according to laws and regulations.
• Responsible for material storage in the most optimal and efficient way possible.
• Production according to schedule.
• Continuously working on and driving continuous improvement processes.
• Follow-up and implementation of production-based key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Employee and salary interviews.
• Maintain close dialogue and collaboration with production planners and the production manager.

Areas of Responsibility

Daily operational leadership, personnel management, quality and efficiency work, as well as strategic planning.

Qualifications

Who are you?

This is a hands-on, physical, and sometimes dirty environment where we are looking for someone who is not afraid to jump in where needed. You need to thrive with the physical challenges the environment entails and genuinely enjoy a changing daily routine where we never stand still.

Requirements:

• Mechanical engineering basic competence/background: The role requires a deep understanding of a tough and physical industrial environment.
• High school education (or equivalent).
• Valid Driver's License (Category B).
• Experience from a leadership role.
• Proven experience in working with continuous improvements and development.

Highly desirable and meritorious:

• Training in forklift responsibility.
• Training in BAM (Better Working Environment).

Personal Attributes:

As a person, you are self-reliant, not afraid to make your own decisions, and take immediate charge of assigned tasks. For larger strategic issues, you naturally check in beforehand. You have a pronounced ability to keep order and handle a large amount of input without losing control. You have personal calm during fast-paced situations, dare to speak up when necessary, and help out where needed on the facility without being blind to your job description. We see that you have good communication skills and that you motivate the team through your leadership style.
