Social Worker for Follow-up Group – Tierp Municipality
Are you a social worker and want to work with children, young people, and their families? We are looking for a new colleague for our follow-up group who wants to further develop the work and ensure that children and young people live in a safe living situation.
Tierp Municipality is conveniently located between Uppsala and Gävle, with easy access to Stockholm, Arlanda, and the entire Mälardalen region. The municipality offers good and varied living environments with nature and culture close at hand, as well as excellent transport connections by road, rail, and digitally.
Our values mean a lot to us. We work based on respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and faith in the future. We apply trust-based leadership and management to foster strong relationships and trust between managers and employees.
With us, you are offered among other things accessible leadership, regular supervision by a licensed psychotherapist, wellness benefits, holiday exchange, and ongoing training. Our employees have the opportunity to work from home when needed. In Tierp Municipality, we have flexible working hours agreements, and you are offered continuous activities through the Positive Club.
When you join us, we also offer an introduction plan with at least one introducer from the work group.

Job Responsibilities
As a social secretary in the follow-up group, you work in various ways to ensure that all children in the municipality are doing well and growing up in safe conditions. You do this, among other things, by ensuring that interventions within social services are of good quality. This is done through regular follow-ups of interventions together with the child, guardians, and the provider of the intervention.
In the role of a follow-up officer with us, relationship building is important, and you follow up both outpatient interventions and placements in, for example, foster homes and residential care facilities (HVB), with the target group aged 0-21 years and their families. The follow-up is an ongoing process that both the social services board and the care provider must document continuously. It provides a basis for considerations and reviews of the care.
The follow-up of care aims to ensure that the child is doing well and receiving the right help. The goals formulated in the child's care plan and implementation plan are important starting points when social services follow up the care. During the follow-up, new needs can be identified and any potential problems in the home where the child resides can be highlighted.
The work consists, in addition to follow-up, of planning, collaboration, case processing, and documentation, decision-making, and other authority exercises, as well as to some extent investigation.
Our work climate is permissive with a high ceiling, and the atmosphere is informal and relaxed with lots of laughter. We believe that engagement is born through encouragement and trust. Therefore, we strive for a creative work climate with stimulated employees who contribute to both dynamism and development. For us, collegial belonging and collegial support are important, where you work towards a respectful and pleasant work climate.
We want to move forward, and own initiatives are encouraged here. It is also important that our employees can have a good balance in life between private life and work life. We have flexible working hours agreements, and the possibility of remote work exists when the work allows.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a social worker and want to contribute to good meetings with children and young people as well as their families. Experience in authority work, good knowledge of BBIC and Signs of Safety, thorough knowledge of the Social Services Act, and good documentation skills are meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
To thrive with us and in the job, you are curious, have an easy time building relationships, and have an interest in people. You are structured and enjoy collaborating, but also have the ability to work independently. You have knowledge of children's needs and are passionate about contributing to good and quality work.
Travel and home visits are part of the position, so you need to have a B-driver's license for manual cars.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Daytime.
We strive for diversity where the background, experiences, knowledge, and personality of our employees enrich the municipality.
We are recruiting continuously during the application period!
We decline offers regarding advertising and recruitment assistance.
