Workplace Description

Our school, Hjulsta Grundskola, is a comprehensive school (grades 1–9) with approximately 400 students, located 100 meters from the Hjulsta metro station, the first stop on the blue line. Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds, and most have Swedish as their second language, which enriches, develops, and challenges our daily work. The school leadership consists of the principal, deputy principals, an administrative manager, and a staff of approximately 90 people, about half of whom are teachers. We have a complete student health team comprising a school counselor, three special education teachers, a school social worker, a school nurse, and a school psychologist.

Our students are given the opportunity to develop their best selves, with good knowledge and well-developed skills for the future. Those of us working at Hjulsta Grundskola want to make a difference, and with great engagement and expertise, we work together. We are now accelerating the school's joint development work towards higher goal fulfillment. Our primary focus for the upcoming school year is the development of teaching based on scientific evidence and proven experience. Since the autumn term of 2019, Hjulsta Grundskola has intensified its work to systematically develop teaching. A senior teacher position has been appointed, and our new senior teacher has responsibility, as part of their role, for leading practice-oriented and research-based development work at the school. Accessible teaching, digitalization, language- and knowledge-enhancing teaching are other areas we prioritize, as is the collaboration between school and working life.

We live in a dynamic world and want everyone who works here to be flexible and have a solution-oriented approach. With lack of hierarchy and teamwork, most things can be solved. We are now looking for a French teacher for grades 6–9 who wants to work with us and contribute to the school's development in collaboration with many competent colleagues. Your Role

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach French. Together with other modern language teachers, you will be responsible for the students' instruction in this subject. Teaching takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Your Competence and Experience

You are a qualified and certified teacher in French. The working hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We offer a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year.
