About Candles Scandinavia

Candles Scandinavia, with customers such as H&M, Åhléns, Lyko, Rituals, and others, is today a leading European supplier of scented candles produced with 100% plant-based, biodegradable wax based on Swedish-grown rapeseed. The company offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to the otherwise paraffin-dominated candle market, where the raw material is extracted from fossil fuels. The company's strength lies primarily in a cost-effective method for large-scale production of customized scented candles, made entirely of natural and eco-friendly wax. Candles Scandinavia operates from fresh and purpose-built premises centrally located in Örebro and currently has approximately 50 employees with a turnover of around 200 million SEK. In addition, a newly acquired German company, HashtagYou, is included in the group, with an additional 55 employees and a turnover of approximately 250 million SEK. Candles Scandinavia AB (publ) has been listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market since November 2021.

Our core values are important to us and are present in our daily work:

  • WE dare and are innovative
  • WE know
  • WE do it now
  • WE are efficient
  • WE are change-ready & work differently
  • WE communicate & involve

About the role

You report to the Commercial, R&D and Supply Chain Director, lead a team of three direct reports, and own the entire supply chain flow. You will become the senior cross-functional partner to production, quality, and sales, making decisions that ensure raw materials flow into our automated lines on time. You own the production plan, drive our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and are the strategic owner of our European supplier relationships. This role is hands-on in a growing listed company, where you need to be equally comfortable on the warehouse floor as you are in setting up processes for various flows.

What you will do

  • Own the procurement and supplier processes for Europe — framework agreements, scorecards, capacity, dual-sourcing, etc.
  • Create and own the production plan and keep it updated as demand and capacity change.
  • Own master data for the supply function (supplier register, item register, BOMs, lead times) and keep the data in the business system accurate.
  • Work closely with production regarding planning, scheduling, and material flow — ensure the right materials are in place at the right time.
  • Drive the S&OP process with production, sales, and finance.
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports as well as warehouse and sourcing staff.
  • Own inbound and outbound logistics, customs, and freight processes.
  • Build processes for supplier qualification and onboarding that meet the requirements of a listed company as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives and deliver measurable annual savings.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing company. Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, personal care, or process industry is advantageous.
  • Practical experience in procurement and supplier management in Europe. Experience with China and Asia is advantageous.
  • A genuine relationship builder — strong and long-term supplier relationships are important to us, so the ability to build trust and collaborate well with suppliers over time weighs heavily.
  • Good understanding of production planning, material flows, and the interface between supply and production.
  • Experience in master data management — supplier registers, item registers, and BOMs in business systems.
  • Experience in personnel management with direct reports.
  • Operational, decisive, and hands-on: comfortable making decisions and following up all the way.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial economics, economics, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.

What we offer

  • A leadership role with real ownership and visibility, in a listed company at a crucial growth stage.
  • The opportunity to build supply chain processes and a team from a strong but informal foundation; what you build grows with the company.
  • A genuinely sustainable product portfolio: 100% natural plant-based wax, biodegradable, vegan.
  • Opportunity to participate in the company's options program.
  • A modern, automated production facility in Örebro and an entrepreneurial culture.
