The products we primarily work with are Saab's 84 mm families, NLAW, and upcoming autonomous weapon systems, including drones/UAVs.
Primary Responsibilities
The position includes the following main tasks:
- Conducting verification, subsystem testing, and system testing.
- Conducting development testing, e.g., live-fire testing and environmental testing.
- Test direction/leadership.
The work is performed partly outdoors. Additionally, the following tasks may be included:
- Opportunity for sub-project/project leadership within our area.
- System work – verification.
- Methodology work regarding verification and testing.
Your Profile
We prefer that you are an experienced and practical engineer with knowledge in one or more of the following areas: mechanics, electronics, measurement technology, or development testing. We value experience highly and therefore view civil engineers, university college engineers, and high school engineers with relevant experience as equivalent backgrounds.
To succeed in the role, you are accustomed to taking initiative and thrive in a leading or driving role. You are outgoing and express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills, work in a structured and meticulous manner, and appreciate varied tasks, both independently and in collaboration with others.
Experience in test direction and/or project leadership is meritorious.
The work may involve travel both nationally and internationally. Your workplace and office are located in Karlskoga.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
Please note: We work with continuous selection, and the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed. Due to the holiday period, feedback and the next steps in the recruitment process may take longer than usual. We process incoming applications continuously, but final feedback may not occur until the end of August. Thank you for your understanding and interest in the position.
