Do you want to help develop the future's sustainable energy systems for shipping and industry? We are looking for a driven and curious Instrumentation Engineer who wants to work with advanced fuel systems for LNG, hydrogen, and other renewable fuels in both maritime and land-based applications. Apply today!
ABOUT THE ROLE:As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will work with instrumentation and control systems in projects related to fuel handling and gas supply systems for ships as well as land-based facilities. The focus lies primarily on LNG systems, but hydrogen, carbon dioxide (CCUS), and other alternative fuels are also a growing part of the business.
You will be involved throughout the entire project cycle - from concept and design to installation, commissioning, and technical support. The role involves close collaboration with process engineers, automation engineers, mechanical designers, customers, and suppliers.
Examples of tasks:
- Design and dimensioning of instrumentation for gas and fuel systems.
- Preparation of instrument lists, datasheets, cable, and wiring documentation.
- Specification and selection of instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level meters.
- Review and development of P&ID, instrument diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordination with automation, process, and mechanical disciplines in multidisciplinary projects.
- Contact with customers, classification societies, suppliers, and certification bodies.
- Contribute to the development of solutions for LNG, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and future alternative fuels.
- Have completed a university or civil engineering degree in instrumentation, automation, electrical power, process technology, or similar.
- Have approximately 1-2 years of experience in instrumentation, process industry, energy, offshore, marine operations, or similar technical fields.
- Have a genuine interest in energy transition and future fuel systems.
- Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily internal and external communication.
It is not necessary, but advantageous if you have:
- Experience with LNG, gas, process, or energy plants.
- Knowledge of marine systems or ship design.
- Experience with instrument databases and CAD/E3D/AVEVA environments.
- Familiarity with IEC standards, ATEX, SIL, or maritime regulations.
- Experience with commissioning or field work.
Furthermore, great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We see that you are meticulous and quality-conscious in your work. We also see that you are driven, curious, and take initiative to move the work forward. You want to develop both technically and professionally and enjoy collaborating in project teams. Furthermore, you are structured in your approach, communicative, and engaged.
