Your new position

As our new Catenary Project Engineer, you will contribute to the planning, design, and development of railway catenary systems. You will be part of our railway division, where specialists in track, signaling, power, telecommunications, and catenary work together to deliver sustainable solutions to our clients.
Here, you will have the opportunity to work on some of Sweden's most interesting railway projects. This role suits both those with experience in design and those coming from contracting, installation, or production backgrounds. Since we work nationally, you can be based in any location in Sweden and collaborate with colleagues across the country. You will become part of an engaged and inclusive team where knowledge sharing, development, and collaboration are at the forefront.
In addition to Swedish projects, you will become part of Ramboll's global railway organization. Here, we collaborate daily across borders, combining local knowledge with international specialist expertise to solve complex challenges in railway infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work with experts from around the world and contribute to projects in, for example, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the UK, Germany, and Canada. This gives you access to a unique network of competence, exciting development opportunities, and the chance to influence some of tomorrow's most important railway projects.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Participate in the design, development, and detailing of railway catenary systems
- Contribute technical expertise during installation, construction, and commissioning phases
- Coordinate catenary issues with other technical disciplines and project stakeholders
- Participate in client dialogues and contribute to technical solutions that create value for the project and society
- Contribute to the development of working methods, technical solutions, and competence within the catenary field
About you
- University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with railway catenary systems
- Experience from design, installation, construction, commissioning, or technical work in the field
- Ability to collaborate with different technical disciplines and build good relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
