Söderenergi is a company driven by a strong environmental commitment and is at the forefront of developing a sustainable circular economy. Through Söderenergi's environmental service, we recycle used and renewable fuels, producing district heating for approximately 300,000 people, offices, and industries in the southern Stockholm region. At one of Sweden's largest combined heat and power plants, we produce electricity equivalent to the household electricity consumption of 100,000 homes. Our 165 engaged, competent, and responsible employees contribute to our reputation as innovative and industry-leading.
We are large enough to offer development opportunities and just the right size to create a family-like atmosphere. Söderenergi is looking for development-oriented people with diverse knowledge, insights, and backgrounds, especially those with technical skills and the courage to demand adherence to the company's values from their surroundings.
Maintenance Electrician for Söderenergi
We are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician for the Maintenance Department of Electricity & Automation. In this role, you will work to maintain and improve the production availability of all the plant's facilities through preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, environmental monitoring, and automation.
You will work on tasks ranging from simple service jobs to troubleshooting and advanced renovations. Assignments come to you via a maintenance system through planners, and you are expected to take ownership and manage these tasks. The role includes on-call duties during evenings, nights, and weekends. The on-call schedule is rotational (6-week intervals) and requires you to be able to arrive with short notice (approx. 60 minutes) to perform troubleshooting and urgent corrective maintenance. Since you will be working in a combined Electricity and Automation department, experience in automation, environmental monitoring, and instrumentation is advantageous.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are to maintain and improve the plant's facility availability by:
- Working with preventive and corrective maintenance in the area of electrical equipment and supporting instrumentation technicians and automation engineers.
- Actively contributing to the department's efforts to meet set goals, KPIs at the department level and site level, and completing assigned weekly plans to the best of your ability and given circumstances.
- Actively working for quality and environmental improvement measures, even outside the direct area of responsibility and across departments.
- Helping to plan for spare parts inventory and preparation of work on equipment for which we have maintenance responsibility.
- Reporting independently and time-reporting, as well as planning maintenance activities in consultation with our planners in the maintenance system.
- Actively maintaining a good collegial and safety culture in all assignments and in collaboration with the department, but also across departmental boundaries.
- Participating in the on-call group.
Your Profile
The prerequisites for success in this position are that you are ambitious, responsible, have high initiative, and are safety-conscious. You are self-motivated and driven, and have no problem looking beyond your immediate tasks to identify problems not directly linked to your own ownership. You are also a team player with a genuine interest in working with both people and technology in a large maintenance department comprising electricians, environmental monitors, automation engineers, and instrumentation technicians, who together hold high and broad competence. There are good opportunities to develop your competence in all these technical areas. You should have a high school diploma with an electrical technical focus or equivalent. You need good knowledge of Swedish and English, as well as good IT skills and openness to change. You must be able to read and understand drawings and other technical documentation. Experience from a similar position or equivalent in industrial maintenance is an asset. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
