We are looking for you who want to work independently and take personal responsibility as our new Land and Development Engineer, while maintaining a close and egalitarian collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you are part of a larger department where many competencies work together.
Responsibilities
As a Land and Development Engineer in Berg Municipality, you will have a central role in the municipality's land and development work. The work involves handling various issues throughout all stages of the community planning process, from the initial idea to the implementation phase. Your responsibilities include land negotiations and drawing up various types of agreements, such as land allocation agreements, purchase agreements, development agreements, easements, and leases. You will also represent the municipality as a landowner in various contexts. The role also includes working with local traffic regulations and other infrastructure issues. You will prepare materials for political decisions and work on developing investigations, economic analyses, and implementation planning.
Since it is important to include property and implementation issues in the detailed planning process, you will also participate in this.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least a three-year university degree in surveying, community planning, property economics, or another education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the position. You have good knowledge of property and land issues, good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and a valid driver's license (category B).
It is an advantage if you have experience with land and development issues within municipal operations, property law, and surveying issues, project management, contract negotiations, or work with detailed plans and other community planning projects. Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage.
Berg is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of Southern Sami language and culture.
Personal Qualities
To succeed in the role, you have an interest in societal development and want to contribute to the long-term sustainable development of the municipality. You are engaged, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility for your tasks. Since the role involves many contacts with other departments, developers, property owners, and politicians, it is important that you are comfortable speaking to different target groups and can listen and communicate clearly and engagingly. You have an easy time creating and developing good relationships and thrive in a role where collaboration is an important part of the work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We Offer
We offer an inspiring environment where you will work closely with colleagues, operators, and politicians in an expanding mountain environment.
There is an opportunity for pension and vacation exchange, and we have a benefits portal with a wide range of offers. We offer a wellness allowance and the possibility of a wellness hour if the operations allow.
Starting salary range 32,000–42,000 SEK/month. Employment is according to General Provisions (AB). A 6-month probationary period may be applicable.
Start date by agreement. We may start making selections and initiating interviews already during the ongoing application period – so don't wait too long to submit your application, your new colleagues are waiting for you!
We warmly welcome your application to us at the Community Planning Department in Berg!
