Do you want to be where the action is? Järfälla Municipality is growing, and the Department of Community Planning plays a vital role in this! The Department of Community Planning, with 320 employees, is responsible for the operations under the Environment and Building Permit Board and the Technical Board.

The department is responsible for parks and street environments, building permits, the municipality's property management, as well as environmental and health protection issues.

The Infrastructure Unit, part of the Department of Community Planning, is now looking for two employees for Road Service. Come and grow with us!

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a maintenance worker, your tasks will include, for example:

• Earthworks and infrastructure work, such as excavation, stone setting, and paving
• Maintenance, repair, and new construction of roads, pedestrian and cycle paths, or other public environments
• Snow clearing, anti-icing, and sanding

Your main working hours are during the day, but you will also be part of our on-call group, which may involve working during other hours of the day. On-call duties are part of the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school education in construction and infrastructure technology or equivalent education/experience, as assessed by the employer as equivalent.

A B-category driver's license is required.

You have a high ability to deliver results, both in terms of quality and productivity. You work in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. You easily focus on the needs of the assignment and achieve good results.

As a person, you are technically inclined, structured, meticulous, social, and responsible, with the ability to work independently or in a team. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, are accommodating in your interactions, and can collaborate with others. You follow instructions and work methods and maintain your composure in stressful situations.

Merits

• Good machine handling skills
• BE driver's license
• C driver's license
• Experience working on roads 1.1, 1.3 & 2.2
• Experience with hot works
• Experience with asphalt paving work
