About the job

As a substitute in the kitchen and meal service, you play a vital role when regular staff is absent. You contribute to ensuring that children and students receive good, nutritious meals in a safe and well-functioning meal environment. The assignments are primarily located within Österåker Municipality.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Preparing meals from scratch and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• Preparing nutritious special diets based on children's various allergies and needs
• Responsible for self-control, hygiene, and food handling according to current requirements, as well as dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
• Contributing to a positive and well-organized work environment

About you

We are looking for you who are knowledgeable, responsible, and engaged. You thrive with independent responsibility, have good planning skills, and quickly adapt to new work environments and routines. At the same time, you are team-oriented and responsive to the needs of the operation.

To be considered, we see that you:

• have education from the Restaurant and Food Program or other equivalent chef training
• have at least six months of experience working independently as a chef in a preschool or school kitchen
• have good knowledge of food safety and HACCP
• have very good knowledge of allergens and experience in preparing special diets
• have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
