Mariekällskolan is a municipal school for grades 4-9 located centrally in Södertälje Municipality. The school has approximately 520 students and just over 70 employees. We are a multicultural school and constantly work to develop and improve our methods to meet the needs of all students.

Learning and security are in focus, and we at the school regularly conduct result and attendance follow-ups for all students, supported by an active Student Health Team (SHT). The school's value base rests on a culture of responsibility where it is important that everyone participates in defining needs and prioritizes together based on available resources.

Your Responsibilities

The school nurse plays a key role in the health-promoting and preventive work at the school. As a school nurse, you are part of the school's Student Health Team (SHT), which consists of the principal, deputy principals, special needs educators, special teachers, school psychologists, counselors, social pedagogues, study and career counselors, and school doctors. Working in the Student Health Team means you have close collegial collaboration within student health services, where each member contributes based on their profession. In the role of school nurse, you are responsible for, among other things, conducting health conversations and vaccinations according to the national basic program. Furthermore, the role includes simpler healthcare interventions, consultation, as well as advice and support in medical issues based on the needs of the student and the school. The work involves collaboration with students and guardians, school staff, and external actors, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), social services, etc. The municipality's school nurses are part of the EMI network, which offers regular meetings for quality development and support in the work.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who always puts the student first, are attentive and engaged. You are professional in your approach and have good organizational skills. You enjoy working with both children and young people as well as guardians, and you do not hesitate to support your colleagues when needed. As a school nurse, you have good collaboration skills, and your attitude is characterized by trust, precision, and clear communication. You are flexible and adapt easily when the situation requires it. In addition to collaboration within the school, the role involves cooperation with external actors and authorities. The work requires very good collaboration skills and leadership qualities.

Requirements:

• You are a registered nurse with further education in primary healthcare, healthcare for children and youth, or the School Nurse Program.
• Good ability to communicate and express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
