About Us

Humaniora vård och omsorg is the municipal provider in Solna Municipality. We are responsible for, among other things, group and service housing according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The target group for the operations is adults within personal circle 1 according to the LSS Act.

We are growing and strengthening our substitute pool

To be able to offer our users safe and high-quality care, we are now looking for approximately 10 engaged casual support assistants for our group and service housing. You will work at several of our group and service housing locations in Solna and be an important resource for creating continuity and security for our residents. What does the job entail?

As a support assistant, your primary task is to provide individually adapted support to the people living in the operations. The goal is for each person to feel involved, independent, and have the opportunity to live as independent a life as possible based on their conditions. You do this by working methodically based on low-affective handling and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Each person has an implementation plan that describes how the support should be designed to meet the individual's needs, wishes, and conditions. As a support assistant, tasks include, among other things, cleaning and laundry, delegated healthcare tasks such as medication management, cooking, personal care, support in meal situations, escorting during trips, and leisure activities such as swimming, exercise, and music. Administrative tasks such as writing journal notes in the individual's journal and booking transport services are also included.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have

• a completed education from the Child and Youth Care program or a completed education as a nursing assistant
• experience working in LSS housing
• good communication skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish
• good computer skills and learn new programs quickly.

It is meritorious if you have

• experience in methodological work such as low-affective handling, augmentative and alternative communication, and other clarifying pedagogy
• other educations within healthcare and social care or social work.

As a person, you are stable, self-reliant, and enjoy building relationships. You carry out your work with great care and are perceived as a secure person. In the role of support assistant, it is important to be empathetic, flexible, and have good communication skills. You need to be able to take initiative, be solution-oriented, and work well in a team and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.
