Gustavsberg University Health Centre is a large and well-functioning health centre with approximately 35 doctors and 30,000 registered patients. We are located in modern premises in Gustavsberg harbour with a fantastic view over Farstaviken Bay.
We are one of three university health centres in Region Stockholm. Our goal is to create a dynamic environment where healthcare, further education, development work, innovation, research, and pedagogical assignments for students are integrated – to make primary care even better for our patients and to make working within primary care more rewarding.
Gustavsberg Health Centre takes pride in having gathered large parts of primary care under the same roof, including primary care rehabilitation, Child Health Centre (BVC), Maternity Clinic (MVC), Youth Clinic, and collaboration with the municipality in the care of children with mental health issues. We take educational responsibility seriously, and supervision of both students and trainee doctors is highly prioritized.
We value continuity in the patient-doctor relationship. We have implemented a working method called the "Gustavsberg Model," which focuses on continuity, interprofessional collaboration, and improved triage. Additionally, we have a new approach to caring for our chronically ill patients, emphasizing accessibility for those who need us most. We work closely with our reception nurses and registered nurses. The facility also includes a large primary care rehabilitation unit, and we operate what we call "rehab acute," where doctors and physiotherapists see patients together. We have BVC, MVC, and the Youth Clinic on site. The health centre has good access to psychologists and a well-functioning collaboration between doctors and the psychosocial team, as well as regular rounds with the psychiatric outpatient care.
We constantly develop our working methods and are involved in shaping services such as "Always Open." Digital contacts are a large and natural part of our operations.
The health centre has a large home care service covering large parts of the scenic Värmdö Municipality. Home care works on a team basis and in rounds, where the responsible nurse distributes and plans the work. We collaborate closely with Nacka Geriatrics in a well-functioning partnership.
We offer:
We strongly believe in continuity in the patient-doctor relationship and in tailoring work to the individual to offer an attractive and flexible work environment. As a specialist, you have your own patient list that you are responsible for. We strive for high medical quality, where further education for all employees is highly prioritized; all doctors have their own individual development plan. The wellness allowance is generous, and there is an opportunity for a wellness hour. Please read more about the benefits at the Stockholm County Council (regionstockholm.se).
