to apply for the job
We are now looking for you who want to work with electrical design and become part of Euromaint's engineering department, based in Malmö. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring high operational reliability and long service life for rail traffic in the country.
If you are confident in your role as a designer and curious about working in the maintenance of rail vehicles, you might be the person we are looking for.
About the role
As an electrical designer, you will become part of a cross-functional group of designers and engineers working on projects for Euromaint's workshops across the country. The variety in the role is broad, ranging from smaller tasks to larger projects where you take responsibility from technical design to finished systems.
Selected tasks:
- Design and preparation of technical specifications and drawings for vehicle conversions and material procurement
- Update, optimize, and improve existing designs with new components, and find replacement proposals for products
- Quality assurance of your own design work
- Validation of your own designs as well as new or modified products
- Perform risk analyses of your own designs
The role involves many contact points, and in your work, you will be in contact with production facilities and workshops around the country. You will collaborate with vehicle managers, technical project managers, and procurement to drive projects from start to finish. The role also includes customer and supplier contact.
Your profile
We are looking for you with several years of experience in the design of electrical systems, and with good knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing programs.
You have previous experience from the vehicle industry or from delivery operations in another technical industry where you have worked broadly with electrical design. Since several of the vehicles have older technology installed, it is an advantage if you have practical experience with different types of electrical systems.
To thrive with the breadth of the role, you are unpretentious and flexible as a person. You are confident in finding the information you need to solve the task at hand, and act quickly to get the help needed when problems arise. You are driven by seeing your projects through to completion and have an easy time collaborating and communicating, both internally and externally.
