Malå Municipality is looking for 1 Educational Staff Member for the Out-of-School Hours (OB) Activity in Malå.

100% permanent position.

Do you want the children in the OB activity to look forward to the next time their parents work evenings or weekends? We are now recruiting you who want to lead the development of an active and stimulating activity.

The OB activity is aimed at children aged 1–12 years (until the spring term when the child turns 13). The activity is located at Tjambo Preschool in Malå.

The OB activity is now seeking 1 educational staff member at 100%. The position is permanent (with a possible probationary period). The activity's assignment is to offer childcare during the times when our preschools and after-school centers are closed. Care is offered in a secure environment where activities are adapted to the children's age, interests, and needs.

Responsibilities

As educational staff, you have an important job, providing children with security and a stimulating stay. Contact and collaboration with parents is an important part of the work.

During weekday evenings, the focus is on winding down after an active day. Children can, for example, choose to read a book, draw, play games, watch children's programs, or help staff set up dinner. The activity also offers overnight care.

On weekends, there are all opportunities for activities based on your competence. Your assignment is to initiate, plan, and carry out activities in areas such as culture, nature, health, and creativity. This can include excursions, sports activities, creative work, cultural experiences, and more.

Qualifications

You have experience working with children and young people and are flexible, driven, engaged, and self-reliant. Your approach and attitude are your most important work tools.

The position involves varying working hours; you will work days, weekends, evenings, and nights. When you have a day shift, you work in the preschool, school, and after-school educational activity and are then part of the "pool." Flexibility is a must. The OB activity's staffing schedule is based on the number of children, four weeks at a time, and staffing is regulated based on the number of children. Working alone is common.
