We are looking for a teacher for Ammarnäs School in Sorsele Municipality.

Ammarnäs School is a rural school with education in B-form, i.e., mixed-age groups. In the municipality, we have a well-functioning student health team strengthened by social pedagogues as well as student and teacher assistants.

Ammarnäs School has the advantages of a small school, with short decision-making paths and a good atmosphere among colleagues. Collaboration and service characterize and permeate the operations.

Tasks:

As a teacher at Ammarnäs School, you will have the opportunity next school year to work in an age-integrated class F-5 together with a colleague. You will also have some lessons yourself in this class. As a teacher at Ammarnäs School, you also collaborate with the leisure center staff, and see the benefit of students in preschool class learning a lot through play and movement in accordance with the steering documents.

You work in close and engaged collaboration with the local community. Collaboration with the leisure center staff falls naturally. Together you build a safe, joyful, and meaningful learning environment where students get to grow and develop.

In the role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching with a starting point in the students' individual needs, prerequisites, and experiences. You work systematically and collegially and see collaboration with other teachers as a natural part of the school day.

Documentation and follow-up are an important part of your work, and you communicate the students' development in a clear and professional manner to the principal, students, and guardians.

The mentorship involves following the students' development over time, collaborating with guardians, and contributing to a positive climate where every student feels seen and supported.

Competence requirements

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed F-6 teacher. You work consciously to get good relationships with the students and to meet every student from the student's prerequisites. You have a good ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and you have a genuine interest in students' learning.

Merit qualifications

It is meritorious if you have current and relevant professional experience, with teaching experience within preschool class and/or grades 1-6. Meritorious is also education in supervision of teacher students, as well as complementary competence or further education within neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD).

Duration/working hours:

Permanent. Start date 2026-08-12.

Salary:

According to agreement. The municipality applies individual salary setting.
