We are now looking for two new employees for our family and short-stay activities. One position is a permanent role, and the other is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possibility of extension.

About Ågrenska's Family and Short-Stay Activities

Ågrenska arranges approximately 25 family stays per year for rare diagnoses, as well as five stays in collaboration with the Childhood Cancer Foundation. Families with children with rare diagnoses attend our stays, with a new diagnosis featured each week. Families from all over Sweden participate to gain knowledge, exchange experiences, and meet others in similar situations. We offer a program for parents, children with diagnoses, and their siblings.

The short-stay activity is a camp activity under the LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) targeting children and young people with disabilities. It is primarily conducted during the summer, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

Job Responsibilities

As a pedagogue at Ågrenska, you will be part of our cross-professional team, which is a competent, engaged, experienced, and supportive work group. You will be offered a beautiful and peaceful working environment directly adjacent to the sea.

The job responsibilities consist of two main parts.

Work in the family activity involves, together with the rest of the team, conducting activities in the form of diagnosis and sibling conversations, group-strengthening activities, and school tasks for children and young people with disabilities and their siblings. Delivering lectures for parents and staff during the family week is also part of the role.

As the group leader in the short-stay activity, you are responsible for planning and implementing the stays, which take place on weekends and holidays. The work involves responsibility for activity planning, medication management, contact with parents, staffing, and leadership during the weekend.

We are looking for someone who is

Educated as an activity pedagogue, assistant nurse, youth worker, or similar. Experience in the field of disabilities and care is desirable.

Working independently is a prerequisite, but you must also be able to collaborate in teams with various work groups. You are skilled at organizing and are open to change management. Experience with autism/ADHD is meritorious. Basic knowledge and confidence in activities such as boating, air rifle, archery, canoeing/kayaking, cycling, climbing, or hiking are a bonus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A B-driver's license for manual transmission vehicles is required.

Working Hours and Duration

A permanent position and a 12-month fixed-term contract, both at 100% employment level.

Probation period of 6 months.

Start date in autumn 2026 or as agreed. We conduct ongoing selection and interviews, and the position may be filled before the application deadline (so don't wait too long to submit your application!).

Work every other weekend and on-call duties during weekends.

37-hour work week.

Salary

Fixed monthly salary.
